explanations

What is dermo-pigmentation?
Dermopigmentation is a technique that was inspired by artistic tattooing, allowing to modify the color of an area of skin for aesthetic or restorative purposes.

Any makeup can be done in permanent makeup: eye shadow, eyeliner, lipstick, mole and even freckles. You just have to choose the shade of pigment you want. No more flowing makeup, no more wasting time in the morning.

A simple question of aesthetics, then? Some patients want to compensate for the loss of eyelashes and eyebrows after chemotherapy, for example. But also to redraw the mammary areolas after surgery, to camouflage unsightly scars, to restore an aspect of density on sparse hair or alopecia, and even to give a "shaved head" effect on baldness

Dermopigmentation consists in introducing natural pigments into the epidermis using an electric device ("pen or dermograph") and needles with one or more points, by a very rapid back and forth movement.
The depth will be different depending on the region to be treated, depending on the thickness of the skin.

This technique is an art and requires from the technician a great rigor in the realization, a scrupulous respect of the rules of hygiene, an incomparable skill and perfectionism.

The practice of dermopigmentation is subject to particularly rigorous and strictly legislated hygienic conditions. (see decree n ° +33687091039 of February 19, 2008) in order to guarantee maximum patient safety.

The course of the session
I always start with a first contact or we take stock of your wishes together. You receive precise information on what you can expect (or not) from dermopigmentation, the procedures to be followed before, during and after the intervention, the hygiene conditions to be respected, the legislation, etc.
All questions are welcome!
Do not hesitate to come with makeup, and bring your pencils and lipstick which give a good indication of your colors and your style.

Preparation of the area to be treated is rigorous and consists of cleaning the area with an antiseptic soap, drying and rinsing, followed by the application of an antiseptic meeting the standards in force.
We then proceed together to mark the desired design with a felt pen, testing different possibilities and retouching until we obtain an ideal trace and validated by yourself. No pigmentation is possible without your agreement and is subject to the signature of an informed mutual consent.
The duration of the session varies depending on the area to be pigmented and can range from one hour to three hours and ends with theapplication on the skin of a post pigmentation balm.
You then receive allinstructions on what to do in the days following the operation.

Warning: When you leave your session, the color is always much more intense than your initial desire. The color will fade by 20% to 50% in the following weeks, hence the importance of planning a touch-up session 4 to 6 weeks later if necessary.

Results

The next day, the pigments crystallized on the surface form like small crusts which will disappear completely after a few days. Do not scratch them, do not tear them off, they must fall on their own.
Slight swelling can also persist for 24 to 48 hours depending on the person.
In the first days, the result will be a bit too pronounced. The pigment will patina in the epidermis during this healing phase and lose 20 to 40% of its intensity depending on the type of skin and the pigmented area.
The color will finally stabilize after around 25 days, to become stable after 28 days (depending on the cell renewal cycle).
Depending on individual reactions, for an optimal result, a touch-up session (free) can then be considered if necessary,
to allow adaptation of the color and the line.

Evolution

The evolution of the shade depends on several factors:
- the color of your epidermis which will cover the pigment
- the thickness of the skin
- implantation (depth and implantation technique)
- the pigment, quality and color: some colors hold up better (black, green, etc.), others fade faster (flesh color),
- and especially your individual reaction (immune system, pH of the skin, tendency to turn colors).
The color of the pigments I use does not change, but the color lightens more or less quickly over time: on average it takes 2 to 5 years to lose 50 to 80% of the color.

Pre-pigmentation

Before any service and as soon as possible, make sure hydrate the area that will be pigmented to prepare the skin to receive the pigment in the best possible conditions.
Perform a scrub the area that will be pigmented the day before your appointment, either by using a scrub cream for the face, or, if you do not have one, by gently rubbing the area with a toothbrush or eyelash brush and and a little homeoplasmin or petroleum jelly.
Do not apply fruit acid-based cream, AHA type, with vitamin A acid 15 days before the service.

In order to avoid swelling, thebleedingand the hematomas, you can take ARNICA MONTANA 9 CHand
CHINA RUBA 5 CH (available in pharmacies).Take 3 granules of each, 5 times a day, 48 hours before pigmentation
If you tend to bleed easily, you can take more10 granules of CHINA RUBA 5 CH one hour before the operation.
You can also take the day before your appointment 3 tablets ofEXTRANASE, three times a day (also available in pharmacies, without prescription)

Of herpes outbreaksmay be favored by lip pigmentation in clients who already carry the virus. It is important to plan with your doctortype specific preventive treatment Zelitrex, Zovirax or Aciclovirto avoid it.

Another alternative is the homeopathic treatment(available in pharmacies):
  • The day before: Take 10 granules of Vaccinotoscinum 4CH and 3 granules every hour for 6 hours of Rhus Toxicodendron 4CH
  • On the day of pigmentation: Take 10 granules of Vaccinotoscinum 4CH and 10 granules of Rhus Toxicodendron 4CH.
  • After pigmentation and for 3 days: Take 3 granules per hour for 6 hours of Vaccinotoscinum 4CH and 3 granules per hour for 6 hours of Rhus Toxicodendron 4CH.

In case of pigmentation of the eye area, you have toremove your contact lenses and to plan to be able to leave without putting them back (preservative container, and pair of emergency glasses for driving).

If you suffer from skin lesion on the area to be pigmented (rash, injury, herpes ...) or conjunctivitis in the case of pigmentation around the eyes, you must wait for the full recovery before considering pigmentation.

Post-pigmentation

After the service, if necessary, apply a cold pocket to appease.
Complete healing of the skin can take up to 15 days.

  • Do not get wet nor make up the area for 4 to 5 days
  • Cleanse the pigmented area morning and evening for 3 days with a antiseptic lotionthat does not sting (OCTENISEPT), gently dabbing with a compress without rubbing
  • Apply healing cream intended for the maintenance of permanent makeup ("Wonderful" cream)several times a day, in a very thin layer, without overloading, with a sterile cotton swab or the disinfected finger.
  • If the scales come off when peeling, they should not be scratched, continue to apply the healing cream several times a day, they will come off on their own after 4 to 5 days.
